We come to you at your home, place of business, or long-term care facility!  We have a complete mobile eye examination system to perform eye examinations at your site.  We have a wide array of modern and vintage frames that can be curated to your tastes.  We love golfers and sports enthusiasts and have specialty lenses for golf and other sports.  You can be fitted with your new glasses and we order the lenses to your prescription from professional optical laboratories.  We then dispense the eyewear to you at your location.  

Why not concierge?!  Why not be examined at the comfort and convenience of your location?  With concierge services, we come to you, so you don't need to sit around crowded waiting rooms with people coughing, sneezing, and touching everything.  With concierge services, you have our full attention.  We don't run patients through like cattle.  

Yes!  We can do a complete eye examination at your site using specially designed mobile equipment.  Is it as good?  We think it is better!  No more driving home after your eyes have been dilated - you are already at home!  Our standard concierge eye examination includes dilation and automated visual field testing - we don't "nickel and dime" you with unexpected exam add-ons.  

If you need eyewear for seeing the music stand at your piano, why not try out the prescription at your piano?  Why not try out the prescription at your computer or your TV? 

In order to provide a personalized and un-rushed experience where we can recommend the best products for you instead of working within the confines of what insurance will cover, we do not accept insurance.  We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.  We can provide you with an itemized receipt if you wish to submit it to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, but we cannot guarantee that you will be reimbursed by your insurance company for our services.

We accept cash and major credit cards for payment for our services.  Please note that we reserve the right to collect a non-refundable deposit or request pre-payment for certain services at the time of booking.

If you have a current prescription or just want your current prescription duplicated and made into new eyewear, we can do that for you!  In this case, we would not perform an eye exam and you would work with our experienced optician who will come to your location where you can select eyewear and be fitted for the new frames.

Yes!  We understand that it is not always practical to arrange your loved one's transportation from a long-term care facility to a doctor's office.  We can come to the facility and perform an eye examination if desired, and adjust your loved one's glasses and do repairs if feasible.  We can also duplicate the prescription currently in their glasses if an eye examination is not desired, and we can fit your loved one with new frames and order new glasses.  

Please be aware that we cannot bill the long-term care facility for these services.  We do accept cash and major credit cards.  

Yes!  We can perform eye examinations and fittings for safety glasses at your business!  This minimizes disruptions to your business and you have the peace of mind to know that your employees have current eye examinations and prescriptions.  We use professional optical laboratories to fabricate the eyewear.  We dispense at your location when the eyewear is ready.  

We can accommodate shift work.  Please e-mail us at specs@uncommon-eyewear.com for information on group pricing.  

We bring the equipment for the eye exam to you.  We do not use a claustrophobic, hard-to-climb-into "vision van".  For the best results, we recommend having a table available (a dining room table works fine, as does a folding table) and a couple chairs.  It is helpful if you have a copy of your current prescription or your current glasses available.  

Our standard concierge service is available in Milwaukee and first tier suburbs, Waukesha, Pewaukee, Delafield, Brookfield, Elm Grove, Mequon, Thiensville, Sussex, New Berlin, River Hills, and Port Washington.

Our name says it all!  We specialize in unique, high quality frames and lenses.  We also take Point of Wear measurements to tailor the fit of the eyewear specifically to you including the position of your eyes in the frame, the amount of tilt of the frame to your face, and the amount of wrap (curve) of the frame.  Point of Wear measurements is not simply adjusting the frame for comfort.  Taking these measurements helps ensure the best possible fit of the eyewear for you.
